Managing Partner & CEO
Osama Qadan is the Managing Partner and Founder of Equinox International. Mr. Qadan founded Equinox in 2005. He leads its strategic and business activities interacting with key clients in the region and technology vendors worldwide.
Prior to founding Equinox, Mr. Qadan spent three years at OPNET Technologies (USA), where he served as a Senior Director within the Consulting Services Division. There he led the development and management of several initiatives within the US and the international arenas. Prior to that, Mr. Qadan held the position of Network Development Manager at Astrolink International (USA) and the position of Lead System Engineer in Intelsat (USA).
Mr. Qadan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA), and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA).
Board of Directors
Dr. Fawaz H. Zu’bi
Dr. Zu’bi is the founding and leading member of the Accelerator Technology Holdings management. As a CEO, Dr. Zu’bi brings a wide network of regional and international contacts and strong relations with regional and global ICT companies. Dr. Zu’bi served as the Minister of Information and Communications Technology and Minister of Administrative Development in the Government of Jordan (2000-2004).
He left government in October 2004 to pursue this venture. He served on HM King Abdulla’s Economic Consultative Council, is a member of the Board of the King Abdulla II Fund for Development and a member of the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Jordan.
Mustafa Abdulaziz joins Equinox’s Board of Directors armed with 24 years of experience in the ICT industry with a specialty in multi-national team management and leadership. Mr. Abdulaziz was the CEO & Managing Director of Synergy Professional Services/Global Knowledge Egypt from 2000 till 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Abdulaziz was the Vice President of Information Technology at Merril Lynch & CO in the US. In that capacity, Mr. Abdulaziz was responsible for the design, planning and implementation of the production plant WAN with a working budget of 23M USD.
Mr. Abdulaziz holds a Master Of Computer Science from the US and a Bachelors degree in Communications and Automatic Control from the faculty of Engineering in Alexandria.
John L. Habib
Outside General Counsel & Director of Acquisitions and Alliances
John L. Habib is a member of the Advisory Board of Directors , Secretary, and outside General Counsel for Equinox International, and has practiced law in the M.E.N.A. region since the beginning of his legal career in 1990.
Mr. Habib presently serves as Managing Partner of Qasimi Law Partners MENA, a full service commercial transactions and commercial litigation law firm headquartered in the U.A.E., having representative offices in Washington, D.C. and Houston, Texas. He is a registered Arbitration Panelist for the Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and, in addition to his legal consulting career, has spent over 2 decades within the executive management of manufacturing, distribution and services companies.
Mr. Habib presently is a board member of Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development (www.ADCED.ae), founded in 2006 by special decree of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. In addition, Mr. Habib is a long-time Board of Directors Members of AmCham Abu Dhabi (www.AmChamAbuDhabi.org), a present Board member of AmCham MENA, past Chairman of the Middle East Council of American Chambers of Commerce, as well as a non-voting member of the International Policy Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Habib obtained his law degree from Emory University School of Law located in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Emory International Law Review. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Political Science from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York
Deputy CEO, Sales and Business Development
Samer Haqoun is Equinox’s Deputy CEO, Sales and Business Development. Prior to joining Equinox, Mr. Haqoun was the Senior Engineer for STS, one of Jordan’s largest systems integrators, in Amman. Mr. Haqoun was responsible for managing pre-sale and project delivery activities for STS throughout the sectors they served in Jordan including banking, government, and telecom services providers.
Mr. Haqoun is a Certified Cisco Internetworking Engineer (CCIE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid, Jordan
Deputy CEO, Business Operations
Lee is an International business executive with more than 25 years’ experience, including more than 18 years as an expatriate. He completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Throughout his career, Lee has focused on compliance and delivery.
The engagements range from managing operations, to conducting large-scale process & compliance audits, to delivering complex turnkey solutions in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. He has gained increased leadership responsibility in Fortune 500, regional and start-up settings with culturally diverse teams that were operating across multiple continents. Prior to be being appointed as Deputy CEO for Business Operations, Lee served as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Delivery & PMO Officer for Equinox.
Director of Finance
Mohamed El-Seoudie is the Director of Finance of Equinox. He has joined Equinox in 2014 . Mr. El-Seoudie is responsible for managing the company finance , Directed financial management functions including development of monthly/quarterly financial statements, financial forecasts & cash flow & budgets.
Before joining Equinox, Mr. El-Seoudie worked at major companies working in the IT field as a Financial Manager such as Silicon 21 & Almasa IT distribution & MCS. At that post, Mr. El-Seoudie was responsible for managing the financial issues of the company’s branches located in Egypt, and the Gulf region.
Mr. El-Seoudie has more than 23 years of experience in accounting, and finance.
Alaa Khairy Hassan
HR & Services Manager
Alaa Khairy Hassan is the HR & Services Manager of Equinox. He has joined Equinox in July 2014. Mr. Khairy is responsible for managing the company’s HR, Administration, Services and Employee Legal Relations.
Before joining Equinox, Mr. Khairy worked as HR & Administration Manager for major MNC & Local Organizations like GNA – Mercedes Benz (Automotive), Air Arabia (Aviation), Juhayna Group (FMCG), ENAP Sipetrol (Oil & Gas). At those posts, Mr. Khairy was responsible for managing the HR & Administration functions of the company’s branches located in Egypt & UAE.
Mr. Khairy has more than 20 years of experience in HR, Administration & Legal Affairs.
Mr. Khairy holds a Master’s Degree in Law from Cairo University, a Master’s of Business Administration from The Arab Academy for Banking & Financial Sciences in Cairo & HR Post Graduates Diploma from The American University in Cairo.
Service Delivery Director
Mokhtar Ahmed is the Service Delivery Director for Equinox with over 26 years’ experience. Mokhtar started his career as a data communications engineer and continued to be a data network expert who led design, implementation, operation and support activities on large and complex projects across North Africa, Levant, and GCC regions. At a later stage, Mokhtar shifted to project/program/service management of IT and MEP domains and successfully delivered large, complex projects including Saudi MOI DRC (2005), Saudi Telecom MPLS Network Project (2006-2007), Mobinil ATM to MPLS Network Migration (2008-2009), Rajhi Bank IPSEC Project , African Development Bank WAN Upgrade Project, and many other projects with other clients such as Tunisia Telecom, Vodafone Egypt, Telecom Egypt, and Algeria Telecom
Hossam Adel is the Health & Safety and Environmental Manager of Equinox. He joined Equinox in September 2015. Mr. Adel is responsible for managing the company’s Health, Environmental & Quality Systems.
Prior to joining Equinox, Mr. Adel worked as the EHS Manager for major Organizations likeNewEra LLC, Tawasol Telecom, and Orascom Construction industries (OCI). He worked alsoas the H&S Trainer at CSEDC and the HSSE Field Supervisor at Egyptian Drilling Company (EDC).
Mr. Adel has more than 10 years of experience in implementing and applying the QHSE systemsand standards.
Mr. Adel holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Power Engineering from Helwan University, Project Management Professional, PMP® and NEBOSH International General Industries Certification (IGC).
Mona Hassan is the Operations Manager for Equinox. She has joined the Equinox Management team in 2015. Mrs. Hassan is responsible for managing the company’s purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and fleet management teams and functions.Reporting to the CEO, she serves as a member of the Senior Management Team to ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization’s operational functions.
Prior to joining Equinox, Mrs. Hassan was the Technical Purchasing Supervisor at Orange Egypt.
Mrs. Hassan was responsible for managing the complete cycle of procurement and purchasing with top technology vendors for many years.
Mrs. Mona is a Certified International Supply Chain Manager “CISCM”, with more than 15 years of experience in the Supply Chain Business.
EquiTrain Division Manager
Diaa Farouk is the Manager of EquiTrain, Equinox’s Training Division. He joined Equinox in 2013. Mr. Farouk is responsible for managing the company’s training services, testing center in addition to being the Manager of the Smart Outsourcing team.
Prior to joining Equinox, Mr. Farouk worked at a number of major companies such as ITEgypt Corp and New Era. Mr. Farouk is a seasoned IT consultant, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and ITIL® Trainer/Consultant who has advised many major companies in Egypt and the EMEA region.
Mr. Farouk has an extensive experience of more than 24 years in the Information Technology field, working with many Enterprise organizations, universities and governments.
Mr. Farouk is a Certified and Accredited ITIL® Expert Trainer and Microsoft Certified Trainer.
Sales Manager – Enterprise & Commercial (E&C) Business Unit
Hany Samir is the Sales Manager for the Enterprise & Commercial (E&C) Business unit. He joined the Equinox Management Team in 2014. He is responsible for managing the E&C sales team in different sectors such as manufacturing, retail/distribution, automotive, F&B and Oil & Gas. Mr. Samir is responsible for building up the business plans for the business unit in addition to the implementation of its go-to-market strategy.
Mr. Samir has more than 14 years of experience in IT Sales and Management. Prior to joining Equinox, Mr. Samir worked as the Global Business Partner Manager at IBM Egypt and other major companies as a Sales Manager in the IT Field.
Mr. Samir has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce & Business Administration, Sales Management Diploma from the American University in Cairo in addition to other certifications in Sales Management from several IT vendors.
